Moodbidri: Majority scams in nation exposed by media - Manohar Prasad

Moodbidri, 31 Aug 2016: ‘Journalism is a unique sphere, while the journalism students are identified distinctively. Mere textbook knowledge is not sufficient; one should have knowledge about many aspects including curricula. It would help a journalism student to achieve success,’ said Udayavani – Kannada daily newspaper Mangaluru bureau chief Manohar Prasad.
Manohar was speaking during Takeoff Series of interactive meet that was organized by Alvas College of Mass Journalism for the freshers at College auditorium, here on Tuesday August 30.
Majority of scams in the country are exposed by the journalists and not opposition parties. It was achieved by the journalists when they were exposed to wide issues and focussed their energies in it. It’s also essential for a journalist to foster the human relations in due respect, added Manohar.
The students joined in a discussion with Manohar Prasad to clear their doubts.
The head of PG department of mass media Dr Moulya Jeevanram, head of graduation department of mass media Reshma, lecturers and students have partaken in the programme.
