Udupi: Milagres College, Kallianpur revisits vision & mission of College

Udupi, 30 Aug 2016: Milagres College, Kallianpur, here organized daylong workshop on revisiting the vision and mission of the College at their audio visual hall, on Monday August 29. It was organized to mark golden jubilee celebration of Milagres College.
Bishop Dr Gerald Lobo of Udupi in his presidential address said, ‘Our college should be model to others by our successful creativity and others should learn from our institutions. Our mission would be first priorities are students, their learning and their success,’ said Dr Lobo.
Dr A H Sequeira, Professor and head of department fo management, NITK, Suratkal, near Mangaluru was the resource person.
In his inaugural address, Fr. Lawrence D’Souza, sSecretary of Catholic Educational Society®, Udupi and secretary of Milagres College governing council said, ‘When we look back 50 years, the founders of the college had clear mission and vision. Our task should be to revisit to reflect upon, find solution and redefine the college in abreast to the changes in 21st century. We have to come out with the vision of the college. Our mission should be through a unique blend of curricular, experiential delivered within a student centric culture.’
Fr Stany B Lobo,correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, Dr Gerald Pinto, principal of Milagres College, Fr Prakash Anil Castelino, campus director, Savitha Kumari, principal of Milagres PU College and Naik, PTA president and others were present at the dais.
The programme started with invocation prayer by Anupama Jogi. Dr Jayaram Shettigar, co-ordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college welcomed and compered the inaugural session of the workshop, while Professor Shalet Mathias, secretary, staff council of the college proposed vote of thanks. Teachers, Alumni and students were participated during one-day workshop.
