Mangaluru: KNS to present Konkani play, Saliye, Satray..! on Oct 9

Mangaluru, 29 Aug 2016: The Muhurat of ‘Saliye Satray,’ Konkani play by playwright Clarence Pinto, Padil will be staged to mark seventy-third anniversary of Konkani Natak Sabha® was held at Don Bosco Hall, here on Sunday August 28.

 

Alwyn Pinto, president of Mangalore Konkans Dubai was the chief guest. The guest and Fr Maxim Nazareth Capuchin on behalf of president of KNS lit the lamp and sought divine intervention for the success of the play.

 

 

Alwyn Pinto handed over the script to playwright and director Clarence Pinto, Padil. The theme of the play was later narrated by Clarence Pinto, Padil and the roles were distributed to the artistes and informed that the drama will be staged at Don Bosco Hall, here on Sunday October 9, to mark 73rd anniversary of Konkani Natak Sabha.

 

Fr Maxim Nazareth rendered prayer service and wished success to all the artistes.

 

The assistant director Adolphus Cutinha (Dolla), VKNS vice president Prem Lobo, joint secretary Judy D’Souza, treasurer Gerry Concessao, actor Dolphy Saldanha among others were also present.

 

Prem Lobo welcomed the gathering. Judy D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme.
