Udupi: Gen Insurance Emp Credit Co-op Society distributes scholarship to students

Udupi, 24 Aug 2016: General Insurance Employees Credit Co-operative Society here organized scholarship distributions to the children of its members and talented students of Jnanaganga PU College, Moodubelle, here on Tuesday August 23.

 

The social activist Vishwanat Shenoy inaugurated the programme here on Tuesday morning.  

 

Speaking on the occasion, Shenoy urged the students to have clear goal in life and be honest in discharging duties. He also appealed them to develop helping nature and donate a small portion of their income for their alma mater.

 

 

The social activist Prabha V Shenoy was the chief guest briefed about the sacrifice of freedom fighters and urged them to contribute for national building.

 

General Insurance Employees Credit Co-operative Society deputy chairman Umesh Nayak distributed the scholarship to 54 students of Jnanaganga PU College on the occasion.

 

The Society manager Ramachandra Y, Jnanaganga PU College principal was present.

 

Kannada lecturer Dr Leena Naik welcomed the gathering. The student Chaitra rendered the prayers. Maths lecturer Kamalakshi Prakash compered the programme. The Society secretary Harish Kumar proposed vote of thanks.
