Bantwal: Taluk Garage Owners organize blood camp

Bantwal, 22 Aug 2016: There is substitute for blood. The blood from donor can only save the life of critical patients who needs blood transfusion. The blood donation is indeed a noble deed, said Bantwal taluk medical officer Dr Surendranat Nayak.
Dr Nayak was speaking after inaugurating blood camp that was organized by Bantwal taluk unit of DK district garage owners Association in collaboration with KMC Hospital, Mangaluru at Yashwant Gym, on Sunday August 21.
Healthy individuals can voluntarily donate blood without fear, because it would further improve their health, said Dr Nayak.
Rajesh Salian, president of Bantwal taluk unit of DK district garage owners Association presided the programme.
KMC Hospital Dr Sonali, DK district garage owners Association vice president Dinesh Kumar, Seva Bharati president Damodar Nettarakere were the chief guests of the occasion.
The secretary Jagdish Rai, treasurer Vishwanat B, organizing secretary Ganesh Suvarna were present at the dais.
The vice presidents Sudhir and Rajendra Mani, joint secretaries Bhaskar Kulal and Ramesh Bhandary were also present.
A cheque was presented to Pushpa, wife of Poovappa Poojary for his medication.
The past president Sudhakar Salian welcomed the gathering. Member Siddiq proposed vote of thanks. The teacher Santosh compered the programme.
