Baroda: Tulu Chavadi, milestone achievement outside Karnataka - Vishwanat Poojary

Baroda, 17 Aug 2016: The Tulu Chavadi, a building dedicated to showcase Tulu cultural hierarchy in Baroda is significant indeed. Let the celebrations of Tulu traditions/customs and folklore be held throughout the year at Tulu Chavadi, thereby the new generation gets to know the splendor of Tulunadu, said Vishwanat Poojary, young entrepreneur from Surat and president of Gujarat Billawa Sangh – Baroda unit.
Vishwanat was speaking after inaugurating 70th I-Day celebrations and third cultural event that was held at Tulu Chavadi, here on Monday August 15.
Bantara Sangha – Ahmedabad president Appu P Shetty was the chief guest said that he was overwhelmed with the news of opening Tulu Chavadi, first in the country at Baroda. ‘It’s a milestone achievement,’ said Shetty.
Bantara Sangha – Ahmedabad former present entrepreneur Devadatta N Shetty presided the programme.
Ahmedabad entrepreneur Jayaram Shetty, Nitesh S Shetty, Jagannat Shetty, Narayan Rai, Ravindra Kumar Shetty, Surendra M Shetty and others were present.
Tulu Sangha – Baroda president Sasidar B Shetty Beltangady welcomed the gathering and delivered I-Day message. Tulu Sangha founder convener S K Haleyangady and founder president S Jayaram Shetty shared the journey of 3 decades of Tulu Sangha. Honorary secretary Balakrishna Shetty compered the programme.
Variety cultural shows were held as part of celebrations.
