Bhaskar Shetty murder case: Three accused remanded to judicial custody till Aug 24

 

Udupi, 17 Aug 2016: Rajeshwari, Navneet and Niranjan Bhat, the three accused who were in police custody for their involvement in Udupi businessman Bhaskar Shetty’s murder were produced in court on Tuesday as their police custody ended.

 

 

The court on Tuesday remanded them to judicial custody till August 24. Navneet and Niranjan were taken to Hiriadka jail while Rajeshwari was taken to Mangaluru jail.

 

Investigators are awaiting reports of DNA which if matched would prove to be a strong evidence against the accused. In the meantime, Niranjan’s father Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra who have been booked for destroying evidence will also conclude their judicial custody on August 24.

 

However, none of the accused in the case has applied for bail so far.
