Moodbidri: Alvas Institute of Engg & Tech holds Fresher’s Day Orientation

Moodbidri, 04 Aug 2016: The Fresher’s Day Orientation for B E students of Academic Year 2016-17 was held on at Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology (AIET), here on Wednesday August 3.
The Fresher’s day was inaugurated by chief guest E S Chakravarty, Center Head, TCS, Bangaluru.
Speaking on the occasion, Chakravarthy said, ‘For today’s Engineering students there are plenty of opportunities. However these opportunities may be available with enormous amounts of hardwork. He added that, engineering students should give importance to 3 phases of process during 4 years of engineering. First, students should develop strong academic fundamentals in their discipline of engineering. Second, students should apply the concepts to applications and thirdly, students should analyse and assess the developed applications.’ He further said that students should develop a habit of problem solving skills, articulation skills and struggle for excellence in future and good culture.
After presiding over the function chairman of Alvas Education Foundation® Dr M Mohan Alva said, ‘All parents admitted their students here with great expectation in Alva’s. So, he assured the parents that definitely the teachers of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology will nurture the students with great knowledge and care.’
The academic regional manager of TCS, Bangaluru Srinivasa Ramanujam, Benjvin Samuel, campus recruiter of TCS and Vivek Alva, managing trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation were present during this function.
