Karkala: Athletes enjoy respect & potential to earn big money - Gopal

Karkala, 04 Aug 2016: The athletes are much respected in the society and have the potential to earn big money, said Karkala TP vice president Gopal Moolya.
Gopal was speaking during the inaugural of Belman zonal level primary school boys and girls kho-kho tournament that was hosted by St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Mulladka, near here on Wednesday August 3.
The School alumnus and Mundkoor gram panchayat vice president Mulladka Parady Ravindra Shetty inaugurated the tournament.
Bro Vivian, deacon of Don Bosco parish, Bola, near here was present.
The School head teacher Elsie D’Mello welcomed the gathering. Mudkoor cluster resources center head Chandrakant D’Sa delivered the preliminary address. The honorary teacher Lata proposed vote of thanks. Sharmila and Sujata compered the programme.
Kalya Government Higher Primary School bagged both trophies in both boys and girls division. Kantavara Government Higher Primary School was the runner up.
Karkala taluk physical education officer Babu Poojary presented the trophies in the presence of dignitaries.
