Udupi: ICYM, Kuntalnagar holds ’Yuva Samagam 2016-One day with the Lord’

Udupi, 25 Jul 2016: On account of Year of Mercy a unique program “Yuva Samagam 2016 – One day with the Lord” at ICYM Udupi deanery level was held on 24th July 2016 at St. Antony church premises, Kuntalnagar.

 

The program was held for the youth aged 18 - 28.

 

Morning session started at 9.30a.m with registration and breakfast. Program was inaugurated by lighting the Lamp. The first session was conducted by Redemptorist priest Fr. Eugene Dsilva, Fr. Prem Prakash and team.

 

 

The session witnessed very good participation from youth as they took active part in Adoration, confession and Holy Eucharistic celebration.

 

Afternoon session started at 1.30p.m and this session was handled by CFCi (Singles) Bangalore team which included group sharing, action songs and various other activities.

 

Valedictory Ceremony was held at 4.00p.m. Fr. Fred Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of Udupi in his presidential speech expressed his joy and gratitude to the youth for taking the program seriously and participating in large numbers.

 

ICYM Udupi Deanery Ex-President Idving Suares and Ex-Secretary Felina D’souza were felicitated during the program.

 

Fr. Denis D’sa Parish Priest Kuntalnagar, Fr. Royson D’souza Director ICYM Udupi Deanery, Fr. Lawrence Cutinho, Fr. Fredrick Dsouza, Valerian Mathias, Mothu D’souza, Wilfred Lewis, Valita Lobo were present.

 

ICYM Udupi Deanery president Vinyl D’Souza welcomed the gathering and Secretory Janet D’silva proposed the vote of thanks.

 

Viola Mendonca, Kuntalnagar compered the programme.
