Bantwal: Legal awareness programmes not to be misused for political gains - Judge Mahesh

Bantwal, 25 Jul 2016: The district legal services Authority has been organizing legal awareness programmes for the benefit of everyone that got to be availed for common good, said chief civil judge R Mahesh.
Mahesh was speaking after inaugurating legal awareness programme at Bondala Jagannat Shetty Memorial Government High Shool, Shamboor, near here on Sunday July 24. It was jointly organized by taluk legal services Committee, Bantwal Bar Association, South Kanara Photographers Association (SKPA) – Bantwal and Shamboor High School.
Children’s Rights is also included in legal awareness programme, said Mahesh. He also advised not to misuse the legal information programme for political or any other reasons.
Shamboor High School betterment Committee chairman Sacchidanand Shetty presided the programme.
Bantwal taluk Bar Association president Venkataramana Shetty, assistant government prosecutor Satish Kumar Shivagiri, SKPA president Sukumar Bantwal, school headmaster Kamalaksha were the chief guests of the occasion.
The advocate M Sudarshan Kumar was the resource person offered info on POCSO Act of 2015.
SKPA secretary Harish Kundar welcomed the gathering. The advocate Ravindra Kukkaje delivered the preliminary address. Bar Association former president Sridar Pai proposed vote of thanks. SKPA district treasurer Dayanand Bantwal compered the programme.
