Mangaluru: Pirated copies of Tulu movie, Dabak Daba Aisa, flood market

Mangaluru, 22 Jul 2016: The much-awaited Tulu movie, Dabak Daba Aisa has the same fate of Kabali, movie of Rajanikant. Because, it’s pirated copies are already flooded the market ahead of 2-weeks ahead of its release.
The complaints are lodged of piracy already with Karnataka Film Censor Board, Urwa police station, Karkala town police station and also with city crime cell. Considering the seriousness of the case, the city police commissioner Chandrashekar issued orders to police to trace the accused. The police are likely to raid mobile shops, cyber centers and colleges etc.
8 years imprisonment; fines of several lac
As per the cyber crime Act, if the police find fake CDs, movie in mobiles and computers such items will be confiscated and the accused are likely to get 8 years imprisonment. Besides, those possess the copies of movie will not be eligible for anticipatory bail and had to pay off the entire budget of producing the movie. The accused will have to go through rigorous imprisonment.
Tulu movie veteran artiste Devdas Kapikad condemns piracy
Reacting to the piracy, Devdas urged all Tulu natives to condemn the act. The Tulu natives don’t prefer to view the movie in their mobiles. In the past, they had viewed the Tulu movies in the theaters to foster their mother tongue. They got to condemn the act in unison. Meanwhile, one can sense despite Tulu movies have limited viewers with screening in 10 to 13 theaters of undivided DK district, the incident tantamount to the popularity of bollywood and tollywood movies. If a Tulu movie has pirated like Hindi and Tamil movies; it has already come up to the expectations of such movies.
