Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Oldest Employers’ Association turns 55

Bengaluru, 15 Jul 2016: Karanataka Employers’ Association (KEA) celebrated its 55th anniversary here on Thursday July 14, by conducting a workshop on select law cases which have brought about paradigm shifts and trends in wage settlements for over 160 senior delegates representing employers across a variety of sectors.

 

The workshop was conducted by Dr R. Krishna Murthy who heads Mumbai-based consultancy firm M/s S R Mohan Das and a director at the Industrial Relations Institute of India. Dr Krishna Murthy was felicitated later in the day during the Annual General Meeting for his contributions to the field of industrial relations.

 

‘It is a momentous occasion for KEA today as we celebrate 55 years of fostering harmonious relationships between employers and employees through constant representation, advocacy, and consultation amongst all member organizations. Since 1961, we have grown from strength to strength and now we not only hold the distinction of being the first organization for employers in Karnataka, but also boast over 800 members across varied sectors such as manufacturing to BPO to consultancy services. We are hoping to keep growing to support the burgeoning growth we see in Karnataka,’ shared B C Prabhakar, advocate and president of KEA.
