Naresh Shenoy arrested from undisclosed location - Sources

 

Mangaluru, 25 Jun 2016: Three months after RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga was murdered, the prime accused in the case Naresh Shenoy was finally arrested on Friday.

 

 

Shenoy was arrested from an undisclosed location after he was absconding since March 21, the day Baliga was murdered.

 

The police had filed a chargesheet naming Shenoy the prime accused in the case. Of the other six arrested, one is out on bail.

 

Sources have said that the arrest was yet to be formalized; however, they said that Shenoy was being questioned.

 

Naresh Shenoy is the founder of Namo Brigade which was renamed Yuva Brigade.

 

RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga was hacked to death near his house during the wee hours of March 21.
