Durga Friends Club sets example by infra-development of Daddalkad Govt School

Bantwal, 07 Jun 2016: Its significant achievement in the entire Karnataka, to increase the strength of the students from a few numbers to over 200 in Government Higher Primary School, Daddalkad, near here, commended MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary.
MLC Srinivas was speaking to media persons, after inaugurating World Environment Day by planting sandalwood sapling at Government Higher Primary School, Daddalkad, near here on Monday June 6.
The state government has taken a decision to shut down 2,000 schools out of 48,000 schools that face student strength dwindling across Karnataka. Meanwhile, Durga Friends Club® that has adopted Government Higher Primary School, Daddalkad, near here by beginning LKG, UKG as per Anganawady model. More teachers are being appointed. The school is setting an example for the sustenance of state-run schools, said MLC Srinivas.
He also assured them to seek funds from state government for the infrastructural development of Daddalkad School.
Durga Friends Club president Prakash Anchan, school betterment Committee preisdnet Poovappa Mendon and Aitappa were present at the dais.
The School head master Maurice D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The teacher Vedavati compered the programme. The teachers Hilda Fernandes, Gopal and Umavati, and members of Durga Friends Club were present.
