Vittal police nab gang of interstate 2-wheelers thieves; get cash reward from SP

Bantwal, 02 Jun 2016: Vittal police nabbed a gang of interstate motorcycles thieves and recovered 11 two-wheelers of different makes and models, said DK district SP Bhushan Gulab Rao Borase.
Addressing the media persons at Vittal police station, SP Bhushan said that the arrested has been identified as 19-year-old Mansoor, residing nearby Sushrut Clinic, Puttur, 19-year-old Shabbir, residing at Parladka – Golikatte, 22-year-old Toufiq, resding at Kabaka – Polya and Majeed, residing at Yermal Palke, Beltangady.
The arrests are being made at the direction of Bantwal circle inspector Belliappa by Vittal police sub-inspector Prakash Devadiga and patrolling squad that intercepted a motorcyclist who did not stop, instead tried to flee. The policemen chased the motorcyclist and corned at a steep curve. The accused was Shabbir who was handcuffed confessed his associates in crime and about the two-wheelers that they stole from different locations from Dakshina Kannada and other districts.
SP Bhushan announced Rs 10,000 cash reward to the policemen who were involved in this major operation.
