Muslim girl from Puttur emerges topper in Ramayana exam
Mangaluru, 12 Feb 2016: Fathimath Rahila, a Class 9 student at Sarvodaya High School made her parents proud by topping the Ramayana exam conducted by Bharatha Sanskriti Prathisthan, the results of which were announced recently.
Her father Ibrahim, who works in a factory said that his daughter was well-versed with the Quran and when she expressed desire to learn the Ramayana they were happy and encouraged her.
About 39 students answered the state-level exams from Sarvodaya High School and Rahila, hailing from Puttur scored 93% in the exam that was held during November 2015.
Principal of the school Shivarama HD said that none of the students were compelled to answer the exam.
