Puttur: St Philomena College organizes seminar on Empowerment Perspectives

Puttur, 02 Feb 2016: Women Empowerment Cell of PG Centre of St Philomena College here organised a seminar on ‘Empowerment’ - Perspectives and Prospects at College auditorium, here on January 30.
Sushila, additional advocate, High Court of Karnataka was the resource person.
Sushila said, ‘Women empowerment refers to strengthening the social, economic and educational powers of women. It also refers to an environment where there is no gender bias and has equal rights in community, society and work places.’
The College principal Professor Leo Noronha presided the function.
Varsha Moleyar and group presented the prayer. Professor Srimani, convenor of the women Empowerment Cell welcomed the gathering. Professor Shwetha proposed the vote of thanks. Professor Kamalakshi compered the programme.
