Puttur: St Philomena College organizes National Seminar on Changing Global Scenario in Admin

Puttur, 09 Jan 2016: The administrative office of St Philomena College herer organized UGC sponsored National Seminar on ‘Challenges of Administration of Higher Education Institutes in the Changing Global Scenario’ at College auditorium on Friday January 8.
Mangalore University registrar Professor T D Kemparaju inaugurated the seminar by signing the Attendance Register and in his inaugural address said, ‘Higher education institutions must possess concern and commitment to the changing scenario. Higher education must be suitable for the present market needs.’
The campus director Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his key note address said, ‘The administrative staff plays a vital role in the creation, management and expansion of an institution. In the growth of an institution everyone must have positive outlook.’
The correspondent of the College Fr Alfred J Pinto, principal Professor Leo Noronha, Mangalore University Syndicate member. Prasanna Kumar Rai, Karnataka state Aided Colleges Non-teaching Staff Association president and Bengaluru corporator Parthibharajan V V were present at the dais.
Catholic Board of Education secretary Fr Gerald D’Souza presided the function.
Manipal Event Management Group managing director and chief executive officer Kumble Narasimha Prabhu was the resource person.
Nearly 150 delegates from different states across the nation participated in the seminar.
Sahana Rao and group presented the prayer song. The convener of the seminar Victorian Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Sudeep Cletus Vas proposed the vote of thanks. Professor Priyanka Adeline D’Souza compered the programme.
