Bantwal, 02 Nov 2015: The members of Nagarika Hitarakshana Samiti and Kallige Abivruddi Samiti staged a sit-in near the tollgate located at Brahmarakootlu, near here on Monday November 2, urging National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to stop collecting toll charges without laying a service road and developing basic infrastructure at the tollgate.
The four-laning of Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 75 was begun @ Rs 196.50 crore during 2005 and still not completed. The constructions of several culverts are still not completed.
