Mumbai: Model Bank opens 14th branch at Caesar’s Road, Andheri (W)

Mumbai, 02 Nov 2015: The metropolitan joint police commissioner (crime) Atulchandra Kulkarni inaugurated the fourteenth branch of Model Co-operative Bank, at Suvidha Square building, Caesar’s Road, Andheri (West) here on Sunday November 1 morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Atulchandra lauded the rapidly growing Model Bank from its humble beginning and that is at the threshold of centenary celebrations.
Model Bank chairman Albert W D’Souza presided the programme. Fr Franklyn Mathias, parish priest of St Blasé parish, Amboli, Andheri (West) here blessed the new branch.
Albert D’Souza in his presidential address said that Model Bank encourages youth entrepreneurs to explore their full potential. It’s helping common man to tap their entrepreneurial qualities with easy loans. The globalization and open-market posed new challenges to financial institutions, while Model Bank struck a perfect chord in balancing the banking services to be competitive in banking sector in accordance with the guidelines of RBI, said Albert.
Model Bank former deputy chairman and existing director Vincent Mathias said that Model Bank is the distinct amongst the co-operative banks in India. It has put in all checks to become leading bank in facing the challenges of globalization.

Model Bank CEO William L D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The founder chairman John D’Silva, deputy chairman William Sequeira, additional general manager Herald M Serrao floral welcome to the dignitaries. Lira Cardoza read the verse from Bible. Alwyn Moraes rendered the prayer. The manager Edward Rasquinha compered the programme. The branch manager Sabita Paul proposed vote of thanks.
