Mumbai, 03 Oct 2015: The struggle of Railway Yatri Sangh – Borivali were paid off in securing benefits for train passengers.  Netravati train service from Kochi to Kurla, Thiruvantapuram – Kurla running on Konkani Railway route and Matsyaganda Express Kurla to Mangaluru are indeed benefiting the train passengers hailing form undivided Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. Meanwhile, a proposal has been forwarded to Indian Railways to extend Vasai Road to Mangaluru train to Bandra. Besides, to begin train services from metro to Thanjavoor and Vailankanni pilgrimage shrine, Nagapattanam, Tamil Nadu, to begin day train service between Bengaluru and Mangaluru, said R L Dias, president of Railway Yatri Sangh® Udupi.   

 

Dias was speaking during Railway Yatri Sangh Adalat that was organized by Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali Mumbai (West), in association with Kannada Sangh Malad, at Deepamala Society auditorium, Marve Road, Malad (West) here on Friday October 2.

Railway Yatri Sangh honorary president Virar Shankar Shetty presided the Adalat here on Friday. Kannada Sangh Malad president Harish N Shetty inaugurated the Adalat.

 

Railway Yatri Sangh Udupi secretary Prabhakar Acharya, treasurer Ramachandra Acharya, John Rebello, Madusudhan Heroor and others felicitated Railway Yatri Sangh Mumbai president Shimantoor Uday Shetty and Harish N Shetty on the same occasion.

 

Kannada Sangh Malad vice president advocate Jagdish Hegde Jaya Shetty Charkop, advocate S B Amin and Petemane Prakash Shetty shared their views on garnering support from fellow Tulu – Kannadigas in availing more facilities to travel to and from home towns and Mumbai.

 

Railway Yatri Sangh Mumbai advisor vice president Premanat Kotian, joint secretary Rajit Suvarna, Kannada Sangh Malad treasurer Prakash S Shetty, joint secretary Anil S Poojary, joint treasurer Shankar R Shetty, Balakrishna Shetty Varapady, Raviraj K Kallianpur, Tonse Sanjeev Poojary, Bhaskar V Bangera, Gopal Kallianpur and others were present.

 

Sujata Tulsidas Amin rendered the prayers. Harish N Shetty welcomed the gathering. Railway Yatri Sangh Mumbai general secretary Sheela Shetty and Kannada Sangh Malad general secretary Shankar D Poojary compered the programme.
