Mangaluru: All city roads to be developed on priority basis – MLA J R Lobo

Mangaluru, 13 Sep 2015: All the roads that come under the limits of Mangaluru south constituency will be developed in stages and on priority basis with the funds from state administration, Mangaluru civic body and MLA’s area development fund, said MLA J R Lobo.
MLA Lobo was speaking here on Saturday September 12 after laying foundation for concreting 400 meters of road from Padua High School to Sharbatkatte, with the CM’s funds released under third stage.
Fifteen undeveloped roads are identified in city; while tender will be floated to undertake the works with funds from different sources, added MLA Lobo.
He further said that discussion meet were held with the residents of Jeppu, here to four lane the road from Father Muller Hospital – Kankanady to Nandigudda – Jeppu here without causing much damage to the huge century old trees that dot the road.
The footpaths will be developed in the city at the earliest, replied MLA Lobo to the query of a local.
The mayor Jacinta Alfred, the steering Committee president Deepak Poojary, corporator Harinat, former mayor Sasidar Hegde, Sudhir Shetty, Roopa D Bangera, Prakash Alape, Shailaja T K, Kavita vasu, Asha D’Silva, Appy, Nagaveni, Kavita Sanil, municipal officials were present on the occasion.
