Mumbai: Kannada Sangh - Santacruz distributes scholarship to economically-weaker students

Mumbai, 04 Sep 2015: Kannada Sangh that was established 57 years ago with the objective of helping Tulu – Kannadiga students to study, by distributing scholarships, encouraging talents, and with health concern, said Kannada Sangh – Santacruz president L V Amin.
Amin was speaking after distributing scholarship to students that was organized by Kannada Sangh – Santacruz at Billawa Bhavan, here recently.
The scholarship worth Rs 1 lac was distributed to the economically-weaker students on the occasion.
The entrepreneur Jagdish P Amin, Raghuram Shetty Belgaum and Prakash C Shetty were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Kannada Sangh – Santacruz vice president Nityanand D Kotian said that there were no donors for scholarship. One got to work and study in night high school. The scholarship distributed by Kannada Sangh got to help the students to excel in studies, said Kotian.
The honorary treasurer chartered accountant Ramesh Shetty, joint secretary Chandrahas J Kotian, joint treasurer R P Hegde, advisory Committee member B D Suvarna, social and cultural Committee president Sharada S poojary, members Shivaram Kotian, G R Bangera, Suma S Poojary, Prasanna Shetty, Jaya A Kotian, Lingappa Amin, Shalini G Shetty, Chandayya Poojary and others were present.
The cultural Committee secretary Laxmi N Kotian rendered the prayers. The education Committee president Bannanje Ravindra Amin welcomed the gathering. The honorary general secretary Sujata Shetty compered the programme. The education Committee secretary Sudhakar Ucchil proposed vote of thanks.
