Mangaluru, 02 Sep 2015: The primary teachers has key role in shaping the future of children, while they can significantly contribute for national human resources by upgrading their knowledge, said Prajna Counseling Centre director Professor Hilda Rayappan.
Professor Hilda was speaking after inaugurating two-day workshop on children’s rights that was begun at Prajna Counseling Centre, here on Tuesday September 1. It was hosted by Prajna Counseling Centre in association with Child Rights Forum and Bengaluru-based Child Rights Trust.
The children expect motherly-love from primary teachers. The children got to be lovingly mentored to discipline. The teaching is serving god because teachers are involved in teaching demi-gods because they are innocent children, added Professor Hilda.
Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana co-ordinator James Cutinha was the chief guest lauded the child rights workshop for teachers and hoped it would be held across Dakshina Kannada district.
The resource person Bengaluru-based Child Rights Trust director Nagasimha G Rao emphasized the need for the teachers to keep abreast with child rights and pass this info to the parents of students, advised Rao.
Bala Vikasa Academy district Committee member Mounesh Vishwakarma was present at the dais.
KKS project co-ordinator William Samuel delivered the introductory address. Sheela Shetty welcomed the gathering. Sunita Naik compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
