Mangaluru: Responsibility lies with media to take message of Kinhana Rai to youth - Chidambara

Mangaluru, 12 Aug 2015: We have responsibility to educate the ideals of Kayyara Kinhana Rai that he had given by his writings to future generation, said senior journalist Chidambara Baikampady.
Chidambara was speaking during the condolence meeting of multi-lingual poet, litterateur and freedom fighter centurion Kayyara Kinhana Rai, jointly organized by DK district working journalists Association and Mangaluru Press Club, here on Tuesday August 11.
Kinhana’s poetry emerged from the depth of his heart, language was top notch and above the intellectuals. He was secular in his poetry. He exhibited an excellent message in his jevery writing, said Chidambara.
Udayavani, Kannada daily city bureau chief Manoharaprasad said that Kinhana has left behind his footprints in his literary works. Its rare to find such an individual in the history of our country, said Manoharaprasad.
Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president Harikrishna Punaroor, Kinhana’s son Durgaprasad Rai, son-in-law Kallige Taranat Shetty, DK district working journalists Association president Jagannat Shetty Bala, secretary Srinivas Nayak Indaje, former president P B Harish Rai, Press Club president Ramakrishna R and Ibrahim Adkastala were present on the occasion.
