Udupi: Pry School Teachers Association urges authorities not to transfer teachers during mid-term

Udupi, 05 Aug 2015: The delegation of Karnataka state primary school teachers Association – Udupi district, led by state vice president and All India Education Board member Aroor Timmappa Shetty presented a memorandum to Udupi district deputy director of public instructions here on Monday August 3, urging the state authorities not to transfer the Kannada medium school teachers especially during mid-term.
The delegation briefed the district deputy director of public instructions that Kannada medium schools are struggling to compete with English medium schools, while additional responsibility to teachers during mid-term will jeopardize their academic year with preparations etc.
The delegation also urged to promote senior teachers for headmasters posts in the schools where they are vacant.
Brahmavar zonal schools teachers did not get their June salaries
Despite schools are reopened in June, the teachers of Udupi district and Brahmavar zone did not get their salaries of June. The teachers who depend on their salaries are deeply distressed. The delegation urged the state authorities to release the salaries at the earliest.
The delegation comprised Sadarama Shetty Mailady, Vishwanat Byndoor, Dinakar Shetty Badanidiyoor, Byndoor Karunakar Shetty, Dayanand Shetty, Santosh Shetty Chonali, Halnadu Nityanand Shetty, Ganapati Nairi Kumragodu and B Pundalika Marate.

Mid-term transfers are deplorable, non-payment of salaries is shameful for education department. The Finance Bill is approved months ago, and department should not have any excuse. |
