Bantwal: Renowled sculptor Basti Sadashiva Shenoy chosen to confer Aryabhata Award

Bantwal, 04 Aug 2015: The renowned sculptor Basti Sadashiva Shenoy was chosen to confer Aryabhata Award that will be conferred during the award ceremony scheduled to be held at Ravindra Kala Mantap, Bengaluru on August 9.

 

 

Sadashiv is the son of famous sculptor the late Basti Surendra Shenoy. Sadashiva is serving as director of Bantwal Agricultural Service Co-operative Society and full time engaged in sculpturing deities idol of Goddess Sharada and Lord Ganesha that is being worshiped by people across the district. He learnt the art of sculpturing from his father. 

 

Sadashiva has bagged several awards already. He is also master in wood carving and sculpturing on domes of temples.
