The Land Tribunal Act, Panchayat Raj Act, Mid-day hot meals, housing for poor, Bhagyajyoti scheme etc are introduced by Congress. The party workers have to convince the people on these pro-people schemes, said minster Rai.

The farmers’ suicides are indeed more distressing. Suicide is the remedy for any difficulty. The state administration is with the farmers. Therefore, none should be driven to desperation. The state administration will enact laws to save the farmers from money lenders who are exploiting them with huge interests on loans. The district administration already cautioned such money lenders.

- B Ramanath Rai, DK district-in-charge minister
