Udupi: Henry Fernandes elected as Prez of Shirva BJP minority wing

Udupi, 02 Aug 2015: The minority communities across the country are favoring BJP because of PM Narendra Modi’s commitment to the nation on fastest progressive path. The union government has introduced several programmes for the benefit of minorities, while the BJP activists had to reach such facilities to the common folks thereby strengthen the party base, urged Kaup former MLA Lalaji R Mendon.
Mendon was speaking during the induction ceremony of BJP minority wing – Shirva zone newly-elected president Henry Fernandes and secretary Ashraf Shirva during the function held at Hotel Mandara, Shirva, near here on Saturday August 1.
Kaup minority wing president Gerald Fernandes handed over the BJP flag to new president Henry Fernadnes and administered the oath on the occasion.
TP member and BJP leader Devdas Hebbar Kattingeri in his introductory address explained the 1 year achievement of PM Modi led union government and enhanced India’s status in global politics. The unity is strengthened without the bias of majority and minority.
Shirva gram panchayat president Varija Poojarty urged the minority community to avail the government facility of Rs 15,000 to repair house and cow shed.
Kaup minority unit general secretary Mayyadi Shirva, vice presidents Ronald Menezes and Rasool Raj, Shirva gram panchayat vice president Devdas Nayak was present at the dais.
Shirva BJP president Santosh Hegde welcomed the gathering. Valadoor Sukesh Poojary compered the programme. Shirva gram panchayat member Rajesh Shetty Panjimar proposed vote of thanks.
