Vanamahotsav at St Lawrence Eng Med School, Moodubelle

Udupi, 31 Jul 2015: St Lawrence English Medium School, Moodubelle, near here observed Vanamahostav at the School campus on Thursday July 30.
Moodubelle - St Lawrence parish priest Fr Victor Fernandes presided the programme here on Thursday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Fr Victor Fernandes stressed the importance of planting trees and conserving them. He also said, ‘As students, it is your duty to protect plants, so that you have a better environment tomorrow.
Fr Victor along with principal, PTA president, school SPL and GPL and staff planted saplings on the occasion.
The School principal Veera Fernandes in her message to students said, ‘As the trees are living beings they also get hurt when a tree is cut. We should be kind to plants. Everyone should plant at least one sapling during his or her life time and encourage others to plant well.’
PTA president Gladys Rebello was also present at the dais. Rajendra Shetty, one of the parents of student donated the saplings.
The students presented a group song of prayer. Class X student Reyona D’Souza compered the programme. The students also sang in glory of Mother Nature to conclude the programme.

Just planting wild tree in the corner and taking photo graphs is not called vana mahostava, but planting a useful tree like mango tree, chikku tree or any other fruit bearing tree it is called real vana mahostava. |
