Loudburst hits Amarnath Yatra: 2 dead, 11 missing

 

Srinagar, 25 Jul 2015: At least two minors died, 10 others injured and 11 are still missing after a cloudburst hit Baltal, near the base camp of Amarnath Yatra in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, late on Friday night, a police official said on Saturday.

 

"Two bodies of minors were found in the wee hours today which include a girl, aged 13 and a boy, aged 12. At least 10 others have sustained injuries and 11 have gone missing," the official said.

 

"Cloudburst struck near Baltal base camp and water entered some tents there," he said, adding that the some other pilgrims have been moved to safer places.
