Bantwal: Nati Utsav, planting paddy saplings of Sree high breed variety held at Kondevoor

Bantwal, 25 Jul 2015: Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) in association with CPCRI organized Nati Utsav, planting paddy sapling proramme at Nityanand Yogashram, Kondevoor, near here on Friday July 24.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Yoganand Saraswati of Nityanand Yogashram said, ‘Farming is the lifeline of our country. The farmer is the backbone of our nation. The biodiversity will maintain eco balance,’ said Swami Yoganand. He appealed the people to be engaged in farming to conserve eco environment.
SKDRDP – Kasargod district officer Sandhya V Shetty also urged the people to take keen interest in farming.
SKDRDP agriculture officer S Naryan explained the benefits of cultivating ‘Sree‘ high breed paddy. Yogashram trustee Mohandas Kondvoor was present.
SKDRDP supervisor Vasanti welcomed the gathering. Dinesh proposed vote of thanks. Vishwanat compered the programme.
Swami Yoganand Saraswati offered motion for planting paddy saplings when the gathering arrived at the field accompanied by the traditional music.
The farmers, students of Yogashram-run Navodaya Primary School, Kodibail enthusiastically participated in the planting the paddy saplings.
