Police constable quizzed over Vyapam scam found dead in MP

 

Madhya Pradesh, 07 Jul 2015: Another shocking death in relation to the Vyapam scam has been reported of late in which a police constable in Madhya Pradesh was found hanging from the ceiling at a tourist outpost in Tikamgarh, yesterday morning.

 

 The constable was interrogated over the Vyapam scam four months back, according to media reports.

 

 However, police denies the death of the constable being linked to the Vyapam scam.

 

According to the police, the constable was suffering from depression and was an alcoholic.

 

This is the fourth recent death which has alleged links to the Vyapam scam in a period of just four days following the mysterious deaths of journalist Akshay Singh, Jabalpur medical college dean Dr Arun Sharma and trainee SI Anamika Sikrwar.

 

Details are awaited.

 

The opposition has been pressing for a CBI probe into the Vyapam scam since as many as 40 people have died so far under mysterious circumstances  and are also seeking removal of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav as rumours indicate involvement of his son Shailesh Yadav in the scam

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, has though ruled out CBI probe until court orders were received for the same.

 

The Supreme Court will hear a batch of PILs related to the Vyapam scam on Thursday, including one seeking removal of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav.
