Bantwal: KSRTC runs amok at Moorje on NH 75; 5 persons critical

Bantwal, 26 Jun 2015: Five persons were injured in a KSRTC bus and motorcycle collided on Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 75 at Kurotikatte near Moorje here on Friday June 26.
The critically injured has been identified as forty-nine-year-old Krishnappa, a resident of Ballamanja, near here, KSRTC bus driver thirty-five-year-old Revanna, a resident of Hassan, thirty-six-year-old bus conductor Nagaraj, passengers thirty-eight-year-old Parvati and thirty-year-old Rajeshwari, residents of Laila in Beltangady taluk. They were taken to admit at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
KSRTC bus was plying to Bengaluru when its driver tried to overtake another bus, whilst the motorcycles suddenly come on its way. Meanwhile, the bus driver in order to save the motorcyclist drove off the road and hit the barricade beside the road.
The locals rushed to the spot to take the critically injured to hospital. Punjalkatte police registered a case in this regard.
