Sister Nirmala passes away

New Delhi, 23 June 2015: Sister Nirmala Joshi, who succeeded Mother Teresa, died at an age of 81 here on Tuesday.

 

Sister Nirmala was heading the Missionaries of Charity after Mother Teresa’s death in 1997.

 

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said on microblogging website Twitter, "Saddened at the passing of Sister Nirmala who headed Missionaries of Charity after Mother Teresa. Kolkata and the world will miss her."
