Mangaluru: US Scholarships for Public Health Students of Nitte University

Mangaluru, 22 May 2015: Four of Master of Public Health (MPH) students selected from Nitte University to participate in summer institute at University of Minnesota, School of Public Health at Minneapolis, USA for 3-weeks period from May 26 onwards.
These students are from maiden batch of MPH Program studying at department of public health in K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) were awarded with a scholarship worth US $ 23,000 (Rs15 lac) where students get additional academic credits on contextual modules of global public health.
Nitte University has also deputed Dr Sudeep Shetty, Associate Professor and head of department of public health to audit this summer institute and strengthen future tie-ups between Nitte and Minnesota.
Dr Archana R, Jennifer Mathias, Niveditha P J and Nolita Saldanha got this opportunity to get this global exposure in the field of public health.
Professor Dr Ramananda Shetty, vice chancellor of Nitte University and Professor Dr Satheesh Bhandary, Dean of KSHEMA have congratulated the students on this study tour.
