Moodbidri: Alvas College launches Bachelor of Visual Art (BVA), after PUC

Moodbidri, 20 May 2015: Alva’s College, here is one of the leading pioneering institutions in Karnataka, is providing lot of encouragement and support for Visual Art along with all other art forms. Besides, it has been organising various camps like Chitrasiri, Shilpasiri, Varna Virasat and Shilpa Virast.
Dr M Mohan Alva, the visionary chairman and educationist, felicitates the world famous artists by inviting them to the institution. It is for the first time in Mangalore University, with an intention to provide opportunity for the growth, employability and to promote art he started BVA (Bachelor of Visual Art) course in the institution. The students after the degree (BVA) would get ample opportunities in India and abroad, in the field of advertisement, software companies, web designing, graphic designing, animation, art direction and as art teacher or else they can start with self employment as an artist or sculpture.
The students from Sri Lanka, Manipur, Kerala and Karnataka are pursuing the degree. During Pragati, the mega Alva’s job fair, priority is given to BVA students for their employability. All 10+2 (PUC) pass students are eligible to take up the course. In BVA the students are supposed to select one among three options like painting, applied art or sculpture.
