Mumbai: Shankaracharya Jayanti celebrated at Gokul, Sion (W)

Mumbai, 07 May 2015: Gopalakrishna Public Trust, Gokul, Sion (West) here in collaboration with BSKB Association and Subramanya Seva Sangh celebrated Shankaracharya Jayanti at Gokul auditorium, Sion (West) here on Saturday May 3.
The religious celebrations were performed by Vedic celebrants Keshav Sharma who arrived from Bengaluru, Jayaprakash Dixit and temple priest Hari Bhat here on Sunday morning.
Anita Gururaj Bhat, Indrani U R Rao and Mamata Sadashiv Rao couple sponsored the celebrations.
Keshav Sharma in his religious message said that one need to know the meaning behind every religious celebration. Shankaracharya had interceded Goddess Devi to grant wealth to a poor woman. Money is important to live. None respects poor. Meanwhile, if one does good deeds, he can accumulate eternal rewards, said Keshav.
Various religious celebrations were held on the occasion, followed by Bharatanatyam show by Bhargavi Poti. Free food and prasadam was offered to the devotees on the occasion.
