Udupi: Religious awakening will revive nationalism - G Suresh Shetty

Udupi, 07 May 2015: India is a cradle of religiousness, while all that one does within the framework of religion likely to yield better results. The religious awakening will revive nationalism, said veteran entrepreneur and social activist Gurme Suresh Shetty.
Suresh was the chief guest speaking during the religious programme that was organized by VHP unit of Padubelle at Mahalingeshwar temple, Padubelle near here on Tuesday May 5.
Udupi district religious awareness Forum convener Kutyar Prasad Shetty said that India is abode of intellectuals and contemporary scientists. Its culture is deep-rooted in every village across the nation. If everyone takes at least 10 minutes to practice the religion; it would lead to strengthening families, said Prasad.
The temple managing trustee Subaschandra Shetty in his presidential address said that casteism and politics based on religion is destabilizing the nation. If the people are united in the name of God success is assured, said Subaschandra.
VHP – Padubelle founder president Belle Doddamane Ajit Shetty welcomed the gathering. The temple priest Vedamurti Madwaraj Bhat stressed on the need for Hindu outfit.
Sadanand Poojary and Belle Angady Sadanand Shenoy were present. VHP president Vishwanat Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
