Mangaluru: KIADB blunder - special land acquisition officer issues letters to ghosts

Mangaluru, 03 May 2015: The spirits are being worshiped in Tulunadu, while KIADB special land acquisition officer and officials of ISPRL are continuing their correspondence with the departed souls. They are corresponding with people who had departed 40 to 50 years ago on the basis of complaint lodged with district Deputy Commissioner by sitting in the office and without site visits.    
 
The farmers are staging united struggle against the proposed ISPRL pipeline that will pass through 24 villages in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts because all the procedures by the authorities seemed to be fake. The farmers and surveyors of ISPRL/KIADB had to take a joint survey to issue Joint Measurement Certificate (JMC) by the concerned authorities, while the officials sitting in the cozy offices drew the lines on the farmers landholdings without actual survey, allege the farmers who lodged complaint with Deputy Commissioner protesting against union government’s final announcement.
 
Meanwhile, the officials issued letters in the name of a few people who passed away long ago, stating that there is no truth behind their complaints. Therefore, they will be awarded the compensation specified, if it’s unacceptable they have the chance to file lawsuit in district civil judge.
 
The farmers urge the state administration to replace irresponsible government officer Dase Gowda who has been issuing letters to ghosts of a few people who owned lands about 5 to 6 decades ago.
