Puttur: PG Studies of SPC Puttur register remarkable performance

Puttur, 27 Apr 2015: Centre for PG Studies and Research of St Philomena College, here registered a remarkable performance in the semester examinations of Mangalore University held in December 2014.
MSW first semester with the strength of 46 students and third semester with the strength of 25 students, M Com first semester with the strength of 56 students and third semester with the strength of 60 students, M Sc Computer Science first semester with the strength of 10 students and MA Economics first semester with the strength of 25 students brought laurels to the Centre with 100 percent result. In M Sc Physics first semester out of 28 students - 22 students passed out with 78.57 percent of result and in third semester out of 30 students - 28 students passed out with 93.33 percent of result. In M Sc Mathematics first semester out of 26 students - 19 students passed out with 73.08 percent of result and in third semester out of 23 students 16 passed out with 69.57 percent of result. Out of 329 students appeared for the examinations in various programmes, 307 students have successfully passed out with a very good percentage.
The principal Professor Leo Noronha and the chairperson for PG studies Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro congratulated the faculty and the students for the remarkable achievements.
