Mangaluru: Ramakrishna Mission carries out Swacch Mangaluru on 11th Consecutive Sunday

Mangaluru, 12 Apr 2015: Ramakrishna Mission carried out Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharath - cleanliness drive on eleventh consecutive Sunday at Circuit House, Kadri, here on April 12.
The drive was inaugurated by Smt. Vineetha Rai, NSS Coordinator, Mangalore University.
Shubhoday Alva, A N Ravishankar of Corporation Bank, Government First Grade College Professor Dr Satish Raowere present at the venue.
The members of VV Cricket Association, members of ISIRI Arts, students of Ramakrishna Mission Balakashram and other devotees and well-wishers of the Ashram took an active part in the drive.
This drive was in continuation to the earlier cleanliness drive carried out near Kadri Circuit House. The Parking area near Kadri Police Station which had become a dumping ground was cleaned with the help of JCB. Huge mass of dirt, wild creepers, waste bottles and other garbage were cleared off the place and the ground was levelled to enable parking space for vehicles.
The students of Ramakrishna Mission Balakashram distributed the handbills of awareness literature.
This is a part of the 40-weeks Cleanliness Drive being organized by the Ramakrishna Mission and initiated on February 1.
