Bantwal: Taluk gets first Mobile Police Station at Melkar, NH 72

Bantwal, 11 Apr 2015: The state forests and Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai inaugurated the mobile police station at Melkar, besides the national highway, here on Friday April 10. It was a long-pending demand of people which covers all villages that comes under the limits of Bantwal town and rural police station.
Western Range IGP Amrut Pal, Bantwal taluk panchayat president Yashwant Deraje, town councillor Vasanti Chandappa, Dakshina Kannada district SP Dr Sharanappa S D and ASP Shekarappa were the chief guests of the occasion.
All circle inspectors and sub-inspectors of Dakshina Kannada district including Bantwal circle inspector K U Belliyappa were also present.
