Bantwal: B V Karant Natakotsav at Kukkaje from Apr 10 to 12

Bantwal, 09 Apr 2015: B V Karant Rangabhoomika Trust, Manchi – Kukkaje, near here will be organizing B V Karant Natakotsav at Government Higher Primary School, Kukkaje, near here from Friday April 10 to Sunday April 12, announced Trust chairman Kaje Ramachandra Bhat.
Addressing media persons at B C Road here on Tuesday April 7, Ramachandra said that Mangaluru Akashwani station assistant director Dr Vasant Kumar Perla will inaugurate Natakotsav that will be held in collaboration with Kannada and culture department.
DK district-in-charge minister B Ramanat Rai will preside the programme.
Kannada and culture department director K A Dayanand, assistant director B Chandrahas Rai, senior theater artiste Krishna Kumar Narnakaje, ZP former president B Sadanand Poonja, Police Academy deputy director Dr Dharanidevi Malagitti, entrepreneur Pattumudy Suryanarayan Rao, Karnataka Bank chief manager Srinivas Deshpande, Tahsildar K Mohan Rao and others will attend the programme.
The late Kallady Vajraksha Mally Memorial Award will be conferred to national award winning teacher Ramesh Nayak during the programme.
The artistes of Mysore-based Rangayana will present a Kannada play – Beptakkady Boleshankara, by playwright Dr Chandrashekar Kambara here on Friday evening, while Udupi-based artistes of Rangabhoomi will present – Kalachakra, by playwright Jayant Dalvi on Saturday evening and Tulu play – Nagamandala, by playwright Girish Karnad on Sunday evening.
Trust office bearers Umanath Rai, Ramanand N, Jagannat Rai, Ravindra Kukkaje and others were present at the media conference.
