Mangaluru: City Airport customs seize gold bars concealed in rectum of Gulf passenger

Mangaluru, 13 Mar 2015: The officers of customs at Mangalore International Airport on Friday March 13seized two numbers each of 10 told gold bars and two numbers of rectangular gold objects weighting 472.520 grams of value Rs 12,35,640, brought by a passenger who arrived from Dubai.
The passenger had brought this gold by concealing in his rectum. The passenger forty-three-year-old Deepak Nachaldas Wadhwa, who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on Wednesday March 13 at about 09.00am by Jet Airways flight number 9W531 from Dubai.
Deepak is a resident of Ulhasnagar, Thane district of Maharashtra. The passenger has been arrested and produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, here on Friday for remand.
Further investigation is under progress.
