Beltangady: Many injured in mini bus-truck collision at Piligoodu, 3 critical

Beltangady, 13 Mar 2015: A mini bus carrying bridegroom and family whilst returning collided with a truck at Piligoodu that comes under the limits of Kaniyoor gram panchayat, near here on Thursday March 12.  As a result, over 10 passengers are injured, while three persons are in critical condition.

 

 

Fifty-year-old Shivapaki, three-year-old Poorvi and six-year-old Charvi were critically injured.  The bridegroom Uday Kumar, his sister Latha and mini-bus driver thirty-year-old Ravi, fifty-year-old Ponnaswamy, forty-two-year-old Dharmaraj and forty-four-year-old Shekar sustained minor injuries. 

 
The sources informed that, the mini bus with bridegroom’s family was returning to their native village Kallugundi at Sampaje in Sullia, after attending engagement event at bride’s home at Kakkinje, near here, when the mini bus collided with a truck at Piligoodu, near here.

Uppinangady police registered a case in this regard.
