Mangaluru: Konkani Academy Prez Roy Castelino completes 1 year taking Konkani to greater heights

Mangaluru, 10 Mar 2015: Roy Castelino, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy completed 1 year in office on February 26.

 

 

It’s during his one-year; Konkani Academy witnessed innovative programmes across the state.  He has been lauded by state Kannada and culture minister Umashree for his zeal and relentless efforts in taking Konkani to greater heights, both in academics and taking Konkani to door-steps of Konkans by mobile bazaar, publishing 2 books each month, transparency in administration with the direction of the Academy registrar Dr Devdas Pai, who was the first Konkan to be appointed as registrar in the history of Academy.
