Udupi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind organizes health awareness camp on Swine Flu

Udupi, 09 Mar 2015: Swine flu or H1N1 is a virus that gets into immuno system by infecting the nose, throat and lungs. It’s a contagious disease that spreads among the humans. Although it’s known as swine flue, it has relation to pigs. The high fever, chocked throat, body ache, head ache and vomiting are symptoms of swine flu. The victim had to cover his/her face with handkerchief whilst sneezing. It’s advisable to wash hands with soap. Its better the victim shuns public areas. One has to consume more water, nutritious food and take medication as per the physician’s prescription. The victim has to avoid going to school, college and worship center. It can be curbed by restraining from spitting in public, said Manipal University epidemiologist Jazeel Abdul Mazeed.
Abdul Mazeed was speaking during health awareness camp that was jointly organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and Humanitarian Relief Society, here at Jamia mosque, here on Sunday March 8.
