Mumbai: Ek Paheli Leela - Actor Rajneesh Duggal to play dry Holi

Mumbai, 06 Mar 2015: Holi is an all-colorful festival that generally involves people throwing lots of water and brightly colored powder at each other. It is celebrated every year and marks the advent of spring. Film artists are known for hosting and enjoying lavish Holi parties, but this year, celebrities are endorsing dry and eco-friendly colours to combat with the severe drought situation that looms over many parts of Maharashtra. Most of the Bollywood celebrities are playing this time dry Holi. It is the sweet and sensible water saving initiative from entertainment industry. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Vikramaditya Motwane, Ritesh Deshmukh and others are going all out to promote a dry Holi. Even, Ek Paheli Leela’s actor Rajneesh Duggal is all set to play this time dry Holi with gulal , Rajneesh have spoke with media about dry holi, he said, ‘That we have so much water shortage in Vidharbha which is a part of Maharshtra, We should think about it, and should save water for them who are even not getting water to drink. Even I will play dry Holi with beautiful color gulal. And will request to my friends and fans, please play dry Holi rather than wasting water.’

 

 

The Holi festival today is celebrated by playing with dry colours as well as coloured water. Several districts in the western Indian state of Maharashtra face severe drought after receiving far less than their usual share of rain during. When media persons asked Rajneesh Duggal for his Holi water saving initiative and his upcoming movie, Ek Paheli Leela, Duggal  said, ‘The movie’s plot seems to revolve around reincarnation, a love story of Sunny Leone (Leela) and me, which is left incomplete as one of them is murdered. The story comes to an end after 300 long years, when Leela has become Meera and my character is reborn as Jay Bhanushali.’ Rajneesh wishes Happy Holi to his fans, ‘A very happy Holi to you all and please save water and play safe &dry happy and healthy Holi.’
